Classical Crossover United Online Concert

Classical Crossover artists from Brazil, England, Wales, Mexico, New Zealand, and the USA unite together to provide entertainment during the lockdown. The line-up includes contestants from Britan’s Got Talent and the UK version of The Voice.

A little about the performers:

Anna Hawkins hails from New Zealand and has been seen on stage in Jekyll and Hyde, Phantom of the Opera, and with Paul Potts. She is also a talented songwriter and her albums, “Journey On” and “Bold, Brave & Beautiful” have featured her original material.

Barba Padilla is an operatically trained soprano from Mexico who came to national attention through “America’s Got Talent.” She has performed numerous opera roles (La Boheme, Turandot, Tosca, Madame Butterfly, La Traviata) and continues to be an in-demand soloist for symphonic and oratorio concerts. She was also featured on our first Classical Crossover Magazine concert!

The Bel Canto Sopranos are a group put together by Gemma Turner and Angie Diggens. They sing arias, Broadway, and soundtracks with their lovely three-part harmonies. Gemma Turner also featured on our first Classical Crossover Magazine concert and will also be performing solo.

Christina Johnston is a classically trained soprano from England. She is known for singing some of the highest pieces of music ever written. Her debut album is entitled, “Blessings.”

Crystal & Natasha are a sister duo from the United States. They released two albums and gave numerous concerts in the US, NZ, and Ukraine. After several quiet years, they released an album in 2019 entitled, “The Sound of Home.”

Faryl Smith is a soprano from England. She was a contestant on “Britan’s Got Talent” and was afterward signed to Universal. She released two albums with them and has continued to perform and study music.

Gruffydd Wynn is a tenor from Wales. He recently won hearts on “Britain’s Got Talent” and has released his first album “Chapter One.”

Jay Dref studied music at the famed Julliard School and has since caught the ear of Grammy and Academy Award-nominee Stephan Moccio and producer Lauren Christy. His debut EP is due out on June 5th.

Karl Loxley is a tenor from England. He came to the public attention through his appearance on the UK version of “The Voice.” His latest album is “Solo Amore.”

Louisa Alice-Rose is a soprano from England. She has performed on the West End and been trained classically. Recently Louisa released her debut album “Summer Rose.”

Lucy Kay is a soprano from England. She made her public debut on “Britain’s Got Talent.” Since the show, she released her No.1 album “Fantasia” and has been seen onstage as the Narrator in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Her new album “Dark Angel” is due soon.

Luperci de Souza is a classically trained tenor from Brazil. He has performed in various operas (roles include Tamino and Monostatos Die Zauberflote, Nemorino L’elisir d’Amore, Rinuccio Gianni Schicchi, Rodolfo La Boheme and Spoletta Tosca). He graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

X-Over consists is a husband-wife duo from England. It consists of Nadia Eide (Soprano) and Michael Storrs (Baritone) both have performed extensively on stage and independently as solo artists. Nadia performed previously on our Classical Crossover Magazine concert and will also be singing a solo.

Creator of Classical Crossover Magazine. For Natasha music has always been closely tied to her faith. At age 18, Natasha made her opera debut playing the part of the mother in Menotti’s ‘Amahl and the Night Visitors’ with the Eastern Festival Opera. At 20, she was a winner of the 2011 Young Artist Competition at Andrews University. Natasha graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Music. Natasha has released a series of Holiday singles “A Place Called Home” (2020), “One Little Boy,” and “The Perfect Year” (2021). In 2021, she was nominated for the ‘Future Classic Women Awards’ show on Men’s & Women’s Radio Station. Natasha is the creator and editor of ‘Classical Crossover Magazine’ a venture that has allowed her to interview many of the top stars in the genre including Sarah Brightman, Celtic Woman, Mirusia, Paul Potts, and more. During the covid-19 pandemic, she created an online concert series for the magazine that has seen her perform in the same line-up as Alex Sharpe, Lucy Kay, Barbara Padilla, Classical Reflection, and more on the virtual stage. In 2022, Natasha was included on the charity album “Stars of Classical Crossover: Christmas” in benefit of the Wallace & Gromit Children’s Charity.
